The hotel boasts an impressive rooftop pool area, although the opening hours feel a bit cramped from 10am to 6pm. There’s also a delightful restaurant with a varied menu featuring local cuisine, and the ambiance feels vibrant, especially during the evenings with live music.

We were given an economy room in the annex that smelled a bit musty, was uncomfortably dark, and faced a wall just above the scooter parking and train tracks. The shower facilities were cramped with a small head and spraying water in odd directions. There was noticeable mold on the walls. Additionally, sound insulation left much to be desired. we could hear every little thing from the adjoining room as well as the daily train traffic starting early in the morning.

staying at michelangelo was a delight! the location is fabulous—just a short walk to everything, including the beach and restaurants. the pool area is lovely, and we particularly enjoyed the rooftop bar, where the head barman was exceptionally attentive. it really made our stay special!

Perfect location with amazing staff

Our stay was beyond wonderful! The hotel's location was perfect, just a short walk to the heart of Sorrento, and our room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely balcony. The breakfast was exceptional with a fantastic variety of options, and every staff member we interacted with was genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make our experience delightful. However, I wish the air conditioning was more effective during the warmer parts of the day.

The rooftop sun terrace was an absolute sun-trap, and the nice, cold pool on the second floor was perfect after a hot day. The location made it super easy to stroll to nearby attractions. Our clean room had a small fridge to keep drinks cold, which was great. It felt like a cozy home away from home during our stay.

However, there were moments where service felt uneven, particularly towards non-Italian guests, which was a bit disappointing.

Checking in at the Michelangelo Hotel set a positive tone with friendly staff. The location is perfect, just a short stroll from the main square and transportation options. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony. I enjoyed relaxing at the rooftop pool, soaking up the sun. Breakfast had plenty of options daily, and service during breakfast was consistently excellent. However, I encountered a few issues. My room faced the train station, which caused some noise during the night. The air conditioning didn't switch on until May, making it uncomfortably warm during my stay. Also, there was a bit of dust in the room upon arrival, which needed attention. Despite these drawbacks, the overall experience was very enjoyable, making me consider returning in the future.

We had a fab 4 nights here! The staff was super nice and always helped us out, especially with local restaurant tips. Our room had a nice balcony where we relaxed after exploring. Food was good at the restaurant, but the room could've been a tad bigger. Still, location was on point, just a short walk to everything!

Beautiful hotel, attentive staff, including the helpful reception team who provided excellent local tips and an amazing buffet breakfast with gluten-free options, all within easy walking distance to the train station for convenient access to Pompeii.

I was blown away by the luxurious feel of the Double Room Balcony-upscale decor and spaciousness. The rooftop bar? Pure bliss! Sipping Prosecco while catching live music and the gorgeous skyline was the perfect evening escape. And the breakfast spread? An absolute feast of options that fueled my adventures each day.
